Abstract

Implantable MKJP (implant) is considered the most effective contraceptive method in terms of usability and cost with a success rate reaching 99%. Based on an initial survey at the Datuk Bandar Health Center, it was found that during 2018 there were 219 PUS who actively used family planning, but only 41 people who used implant contraception. Objectives; this study was to determine the factors that influence the use of implant KB in Datuk Banda Puskesmas in Tanjung Balai city in 2019. Methods; the research design used is Cross Sectional. The population in this study were 95 people and samples taken by accidental sampling were 48 people. Data collection methods are primary, secondary and tertiary data. Analysis of the data used is using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis with logistic regression tests. Results; the results showed that the logistic regression test results showed knowledge (sig-p .046), attitude (sig-p .035), husband's support (sig-p .033) and the role of health workers (sig-p .974). Conclusion; the conclusions in this study indicate that there is an influence of husband's knowledge, attitude and support for the use of implants, while the role of health workers has no influence on the use of implants.
