Abstract
Performance can be interpreted as the result or overall level of success of a person during a certain period in carrying out predetermined tasks that have been agreed upon. WHO 2016, the global coverage of the presence of trained birth attendants is estimated to have reached 73% in 2007-2013. However, globally and within the region, millions of births were not assisted by midwives, doctors or trained nurses. More than 40% of births in the regions of Indonesia, the Africa Region and Southeast Asia are not attended by skilled health personnel. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the lack of performance of midwives and nurses in the Padang Tiji Public Health Center, Padang Tiji Subdistrict, Pidie District in 2019.
The research design was a survey research with cross sectional approach in which the researcher wanted to find out what factors influenced the performance of midwives and nurses with a total sample of 51 people, to prove that there was a significant relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variables Chi-square analysis was used with a confidence level of 95 % and at the significance level of statistical calculation p value (0.05).
The results of the multivariate analysis showed that for the ability variable pvalue (0,000) and Exp (B) value 104,000, motivation pvalue (0,000) Exp value (B) 215,400, training pvalue (0,001) value Exp (B) 32,500 and pvalue award (0,043 ) Exp value (B) 71,960, in this case the most dominant influence is the motivation variable.
The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence between ability, motivation, training and appreciation on the performance of midwives and nurses. It is recommended to research sites to always support their workers, especially nurses and midwives in terms of honing abilities, providing motivation, often involving employees for training and giving awards to nurses and midwives who have better work skills or who are on average.
