Abstract
The National Social Security System (SJSN) guarantees that every citizen is a BPJS participant. But in practice, in Kaban Tengah Village, Sitelu Tali Urang Jehe Subdistrict, non-participating communities were still found. The purpose of this study was to determine factors related to community participation as participants in the Social Security Organizing Board (BPJS).
This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional design. The study was conducted in Kaban Tengah Village, Sitelu Tali Urang Jehe District, Pakpak Bharat Regency. The study population is all KK in Kaban Tengah Village many as 403 people, the sample was 200 people. Sampling is done by simple random sampling. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test at the 95% confidence level ( = 0.05).
Based on the results of the study showed that 68.5% of people who participated were BPJS participants, while 31.5% of those who did not participate. Factors related to community participation as BPJS participants in Kaban Tengah Village, Sitelu Tali Urang Jehe District, Pakpak Bharat Regency in 2019 were knowledge (p = 0,000), attitude (p = 0.003), information (p = 0,000), family support ( p = 0,000) and perceptions of health threats (p = 0,000).
The conclusion of this study is that knowledge, attitudes, information, family support and perceptions of health threats are significantly related to community participation as BPJS participants. It is recommended that the Head of Kaban Tengah Village, Sitelu Tali Urang Jehe District, Pakpak Bharat Regency continue to motivate community members who have not yet participated in BPJS Health to become BPJS Health participants to make it easier and lighter in terms of cost.
