Abstract
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of 2030 reduce maternal mortality to below 70 per 100,000 live births. This illustrates how the quality of life for mothers and children in Indonesia. The Ministry of Health through the Family Health Directorate initiated a mother class program. One of the maternal class programs is the pregnant mothers class.
The purpose of this study was to study the factors that influence mothers to take classes in pregnant women at the Hutarakyat Health Center in Dairi Regency in 2019.
The design of this research is quantitative research with cross sectional design. The study was conducted in May - October 2019 at the Hutarakyat Health Center in Dairi Regency. Sampling using a total sampling technique of 56 people. The technique of answering data using a questionnaire. Analysis of the data used is the Logistic Regression Test.
The results of the study can be concluded from knowledge (p = 0.024), husband support (p = 0.029), support of health workers (p = 0.002) and no education, (p = 1,000), employment (p = 0.737), involvement of health facility outreach ( p = 0.711) to the participation of mothers in the class of pregnant women at the Puskesmas Hutarakyat. The most dominant variable influencing mothers in attending pregnant mothers classes was supporting health workers with a p value of 0.007 <0.05 and an Exp (B) value of 14.515.
Suggestions for mothers to be able to increase knowledge about classes of pregnant women by attending classes of pregnant women carried out by midwives and for special health workers providing midwives counseling and information will discuss classes of pregnant women for pregnant women when pregnant women receive antenatal care examinations.
