Abstract
Nutritional problems are problems that occur in every life cycle, starting in the womb (fetus), infant children, adults and old age. The purpose of this study is to analyze factors related to the application of the principle of nutrition in the household setting to the nutritional status of children under five
This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional study design. The study was conducted in the Work Area of the Peulimbang Community Health Center. by using a total Smpling technique that is as many as 50 mothers who have balitas. To analyze the data the logistic regression test was used.
Based on the results of research it is known that nutritional status is related to knowledge (p = 0.020), attitude (p = 0.012), skills (p = 0,000), economy (p = 0,000), family support (p = 0.005) history of helminthiasis (p = 0,001), dietary restrictions (p = 0,000) and counseling of health workers (p = 0,000).
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the factors related to the nutritional status of toddlers there are 98 factors of knowledge, attitudes, skills, economics, family dependence, history of intestinal worms, dietary restrictions, and counseling of health workers. So that the suggestions in this study are expected that pregnant women and families are able to take the time to attend counseling on nutrition held by health workers to increase maternal knowledge about how to overcome malnutrition problems and to seek information about nutrition that is good for balitas.
