Abstract
FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE MOTHER BEHAVIOR IN CHOOSING LABOR HELP IN THE JULY PUSKMAS JULI REGENCY IN BIREUEN DISTRICT, 2019
Safe childbirth is a plan of action made jointly between pregnant women, husbands and midwives when pregnant women enter the third trimester. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the behavior of mothers in choosing birth attendants in the work area of the July Bireuen District Health Center in 2019. The type of research used in this research is an analytic survey with cross sectional study design. The sample in this study were all mothers who gave birth in February 2019 in the work area of the July Bireuen District Health Center with a total of 43 people. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test formula and Logistic Regression.
Based on the results of the study, it is known that there is an influence of knowledge on delivery assistance with a value of 0,000 <0.05. There is an influence of attitudes toward childbirth assistance with a value of 0,000 <0.05. There is an influence of confidence in childbirth assistance with a value of 0,000,05. There is an effect of the availability of access to childbirth assistance with a significant value of 0.002 <0.05. There is an influence of family support for childbirth assistance with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05. There is an influence of health workers on childbirth assistance with a significant value of 0.002 <0.05. The most influential factor in choosing childbirth assistance in the working area of the Health Center in July Kabipaten Bireuen in 2019 was family support with a significant value of 0.004 <0.05.
Therefore, it is recommended that the husband can help pregnant women in providing information related to the selection of birth attendants and support pregnant women to deliver in a safe delivery place, such as in health centers, clinics or hospitals.
