Abstract
Delivery is an important period for a mother and that's when a mother will breastfeed her baby. Mother will give her breastmilk as the most beautiful gift to her baby. according to the World Health organization (WHO) set a target in 2025 that at least 50% of the number of babies under 6 months of age are breastfed. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between types of childbirth and family support with exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: This type of research used an analytical survey research method, with cross-sectionnal approach, while the population in this study all mothers who have babies aged 7-12 months in Sundari Hospital are 35 respondents. Where samples are taken using total population techniques. Data collection technique is done by using primary data obtained from questionnaire data that was examined by researchers, Result: Based on the results of the study using the chi-square test α=.005 with a confidence level of 95%, with the results of this study the type of labor 0.032, family support 0.030, it can be seen the value of ρ=.001<α=.005 where the value of ρ<α which means there is a relationship. Conclusion: of this research is that there is a relationship between the type of childbirth and family support with exclusive breastfeeding. It is expected that health workers are informative in giving about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding.
