Abstract
Dysmenorrhea is a condition where there is pain that is usually felt in the lower abdomen or the waist which generally can interfere with a woman's activities. Based on the 2014 World Health Organization, 1,769,425 people (90%) Objective: This study was to determine the effect of counseling about dysmenorrhea by handling dysmenorrhea in class X-XI students of Al-Amiin Private Madrasah Kp. Kec. NA IX-X Kab. Labuhanbatu Utara 2019. Methods: This study used a Pre-Experimental method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of counseling about dysmenorrhea with knowledge of its handling on grade IX-X female students of Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Al-Amiin Kp.Pajak, Na IX-X Sub-district of North Labuhanbatu District in 2019. This study used a total population method for sampling, where the entire population was sampled as many as 44 students. Result: The study used Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test, the P-Value 0.000<.05. Then the results were obtained that there was an influence of counseling about dysmenorrhea with knowledge of its handling on grade IX-X female students of Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Al-Amiin Kp.Pajak, Na IX-X Sub-district of North Labuhanbatu District in 2019. Conclusion: shows that there is an influence of counseling about dysmenorrhoea with knowledge of its handling on grade X-XI female students.
