Abstract
Childbirth is an important event that waited by every married couple and to welcome the birth of the baby is a time that will be very happy for every family. This study aimed to determine the relationship of husband support and maternal knowledge with a decrease in pain during labor at Pratama Salbiyana Clinic in 2019.
The design of this research used analytical survey with cross sectional approach. The populations were 30 maternal respondents and all were sampled. Data analysis was done by means of univariate and bivariate analysis (chi-square test).
Statistical test results using the chi-square test obtain p-value of the husband's support with a decrease in pain during labor was 0,000 <.05, the result of knowledge with a decrease in pain at the time of labor obtained p-value .047 <.05.
The conclusion shows that there is a relationship between husband support and maternal knowledge with a decrease in pain during labor. It is expected that health workers at Pratama Salbiyana Clinic can further improve services to provide information to maternity mothers and also to husbands in order to always support, give attention and affection to their wives during childbirth their support in birth process will have a positive impact on maternity mothers to reduce pain.
