Abstract

Based on initial field survey and several reports of work safety results recommendations to workers at PT. Pupuk Aceh Iskandar Muda (PIM) in the production section experienced unsafe measures of 25%. Among them work without work permit, crossing dangerous areas that have been restricted by safety lines, smoking in production areas, lack of using predetermined PPE, working at dangerous speeds, and joking while working.
Research design used observational quantitative design with cross-sectional approach. The populations in this study were 80 employees and the sample taken using total sampling that was 80 emmployees. Data collection methods wre primary and secondary data. Analysis of the data used univariate and bivariate analysis.
The results showed the knowledge of Sig (0,000)<α(.05), meaning that there was a relationship of knowledge with unsafe actions, supervision of Sig (0,000)<α(.05) meaning that there was a relationship of supervision with unsafe actions, whereas the training of Sig (038)>α(.05) there was a relationship between training and unsafe actions.
The conclusion shows that there is a relationship between knowledge, supervision, and training with unsafe actions at PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda Aceh. It is suggested that workers must comply with regulations set by the company and be willing to accept the consequences if they do not do or violate (giving a Warning Letter for those who violate), they must be willing to use personal protective equipment (protective helmets, safety shoes, ear plugs, safety belt, protective glasses and masks) when working in accordance with work procedures at the company.
