Abstract
Background : worms are a disease caused by worm infections in the body that are transmitted through soil, food/drink and other media that have been contaminated by worm eggs. No exception for adults, children are also very vulnerable to helminthiasis so good knowledge is needed to be free of worm infection. Objective: of this study was to know the relationship of counseling about giving worm medicine to increase knowledge of toddlers mother at BPM Rina Hanum in 2019. Method: the study uses an experimental method with a pre-experimental method that only uses a study group without using a control group (one pretest-posttest group). The samples of this research is 51 mothers who have children under five. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance of = 0.05.Rresults: describe that before being given a good knowledge respondents 4% (2 people), enough 24% (12 people) and less 73% (37 people). After being given respondents with good knowledge 43% (22 people), enough 35% (18 people) and less 22% (11 people). While the statistical test using the Wilcoxon test obtained p value 0,000 < a = 0.05. Concluion : its shows there is support for giving worm medicine to increase the knowledge of toddlers mother in BPM Rina Hanum in 2019.The knowledge that has been obtained can be applied by mothers of toddlers free from helminthiasis.
