Abstract
data from the Labuhanbatu Selatan Disctrict Health Office in 2017 obtained new family planning participant data, among others, condoms of 441 (13.49%), children with a score of 1,003 (30.69%), injections of 1,582 (48,40%), IUDs of 75 (2.29%), Implants of 167 (5.11%), MOWs of 0 (0%) and MOP of 0 (0%). Data for one year at Langgapayung Community Health Center, Sungai Kanan District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency, new KB participants consisted of 422 people and obtained the results of IUD KB as many as 6 peopl in the Right River, South Labuhanbatu Regency in 2018. Method: This study uses analytic survey design with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were 67 KB acceptors. Sampling uses Random Sampling. Data analysis was done by univariate and bivariate by using the Chi-Square statistical test. Results: The results of bivariate analysis with Chi-Square statistical test, it was obtained on knowledge variables (p-value 0,000), parity (p-value 0,001), education (p-value 0,170) and husband’s support (p-value 0,02). Conclusion : the conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge, parity and husband’s support with the selection of contraceptives in the womb. There is no educational relationship with the selection of contraceptives in the womb. It is expected that mothers will better understand IUD contraception and follow family planning counseling, actively participate in counseling before making a decision in using contraception.
