Abstract

Immunization is an attempt to increase one's active immunity against a disease by including vaccines in the body of a baby or child. Based on the initial survey conducted at Afulu in 2018 out of 10 mothers who have children 1-5 years there are 4 complete immunization babies and incomplete immunizations as many as 6 people. Objectives: This study aims to find out the related factors to the completeness of basic immunization at Working Area of Afulu Health Center, North Nias District in 2018. Method: This study used an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The populations in this study were mothers who had children aged 1-5 years. The samples in this study were 72 people at Working Area of Afulu Health Center, with the sampling technique being cluster sampling and simple random sampling. The data collected by using a questionnaire and analyzed by using univariate and bivariate analysis, and tested by using the chi-square test. Results: Showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and p value (sig) = 0.004 <0.05, Work with p value (sig) = 0.001 <0.05, family support with p value (sig) = 0.007 <0.05, support for labor health with p value (sig) = 0.003 <0.05 with Basic Immunization Completeness in Children Aged 1-5 Years at Working Area of Afulu Health Center. Conclusions: This study shows that there is a relationship between knowledge, work, family support, support of health workers with complete basic immunization. It is suggested to all parties involved to implement programs to increase the knowledge of mothers and the public about the importance of complete basic immunization in infants.
