Abstract

Indonesian Health Profile in 2014 the four biggest causes of maternal death were bleeding 30.3%, pregnancy hypertension 27.1%, infection 7.3%, and others which were causes of indirect maternal mortality such as cancer conditions, kidney, heart or other diseases suffered by the mother by 35.3%. Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of age, parity history of pregnancy and childbirth with retention of placenta at Sidikalang Regional General Hospital of Dairi District in 2018. Method: analytical survey research design with conducted research was cross sectional approach. The populations in this study were all normal maternity women with 50 people. The sampling technique uses the total population. The data analysis was done by using univariate analysis using frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the chi square test. Result : The results of the study can be known that from the chi-square test results obtained sig p-value of 0.003 <from p-value of 0.05, which means that there was an Age Relationship with Retention of Placenta. And the results of the chi-square test obtained sig p-value of 0.008 <0.05, which means that there was a Relationship between Parity and Retention of Placenta, the results of chi-square test obtained p value = 0,000 <a = 0.05 means that there was a relationship between previous retention history Placenta at Sidikalang Regional General Hospital of Dairi district in 2018. Conclusion : Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between age, parity and history of pregnancy and previous births with Retention of Placenta at Sidikalang Regional General Hospital of Dairi District in 2018. It is suggested for Sidikalang Regional General Hospital of Dairi District with the results of this study to use this research as an information material, especially regarding to placental retention. And hopefully the number of ental retention can decrease with the changing mothers who experience years
