Abstract
Sectio Caesarea (SC) is a surgery to give birth to a child through an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus. Indications of SC can be absolute or relative indications. The action of SC in East Aceh Regency itself in 2016 was 52.7% and the number of post sectio caesarea mothers who had surgical wound infections was 34.9% due to mothers being slow to carry out early mobilization. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of wound infection post sectio caesarea.
The research design used Cross Sectional. The population of this study amounted 32 mothers and samples were taken by means of a total population of 32 mothers. Data collection methods were primary, secondary and tertiary data. Analysis of the data used the chi-square test.
The results showed that the risk of age of the post sectio caesarea mothers was 20 respondents (62.5%), the parity of post sectio caesarean mothers in the multiparous category were 14 respondents (43.8%) and the maternal body weight of post sectio caesarea in the thin category as much as 12 respondents (37.5%) and post sectio caesarean mothers who did not have a wound infection in sectio caesarea were 19 respondents (59.4%). There was a relationship of age (sig-p = .000 <sig-α = .05), parity (sig-p = .024 <sig-α = .05) and body weight (sig-p = .008 <sig-α = .05) with the incidence of post sectio caesarea wound infection in Dr. Zubir Mahmud Idi East Aceh Regency in 2018.
The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between age, parity and weight with the incidence of post sectio caesarea wound infection in Dr. Zubir Mahmud Idi, East Aceh Regency in 2018. For research sites, it is hoped that it can be used as one of the indicators in determining policies related to efforts to increase prevention of infection after sectio caesarea.
