Abstract
One form of health behavior in the community is clean and healthy behavior (PHBS). The behavior of healthy living in Indonesia is still low, this is related to various health problems or the spread of epidimologically high environmental-based diseases in Indonesia. The goal is to find out the factors that influence clean and healthy life behaviors atthe Ladang Panjang Village, Kec. Sungai Gelam.
This study is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The study was conducted in Ladang Panjang Village, Kec. Sungai Gelam, in March - May 2019. The population is 1125 family heads. The samples in the study were 92 samples. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study was univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using Chi-square test and multivariate analysis.
The results of the study bivariate analysis revealed that the age (p= 0.005), education (p= 0,000), knowledge (p= 0,000), attitude (p= 0.009), social support (p= 0.001), income (p= 0.002), health facilities and infrastructure (p = 0,004) and the behavior of health workers (p = 0,004) influences clean and healthy behavior. Education is the most dominant factor that influences clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS) in Ladang Panjang Village, Kec. Sungai Gelam.
The Conclusion from this research dominant factors affecting PHBS are education. Suggestions need to increase the role of village officials in the success of each health education activity and other social activities, so as to increase community participation in behavior life clean and healthy.
