ASSOCIATED FACTORS OF STUNTING ON TODDLERS IN SILIMABANUA
OF TUHEMBERUA SUBDISTRICT NORTH NIAS 2018

Indonesia is the country with the fifth-largest stunting prevalence, in 2013 the prevalence of stunting (PB/U) on children under five in Indonesia was 36.4%. The problem of stunting is still quite serious in Indonesia. The height of an Indonesian boy at the age of 5 years, on average is less than 6.7 cm from the height that should be, Yet for girls, it is less than 7.3 cm. From the preliminary survey found that 15 children were able to get 4 stunting, namely 3 female sex products, including 2 toddlers with short body index and 1 kid with very short body index. This study aims to find out the Associated Factors with Stunting on infants the Silimabanua Village in Tuhemberua District, North Nias Regency in 2018.
This research design was an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study which has toddlers aged 24-60 months in the Silimabanu village area numbering 214 of the 4 posyandu with a sample of 68 respondents by systematic sampling. The data were done by using primary data, as well as tertiary data. Data were analyzed by conducting Chi-square analysis tests.
From the results of the 68 respondents with the results of the statistic test, the relationship between Family Income and Stunting on toddlers used the Chi-square obtained the value of p-value, 0.017 < 0.05. the result of the relationship between Patterns and Stunting on toddlers which are done by using Chi-squares get a value of p-value, 0.004 < 0.05. Relationship between Practices and the Supply of Stunting with toddlers by using the Chi-squares get a value of p-value, 0.000 < 0.05.
The results of the study show that the relationship between Family Income Factors, Feed Patterns, Practice Providing A tool with Stunting. It is recommended to Health Services in the Silimabanua Village to improve the importance of health services to create healthy generation and intelligence.
