Abstract

High work productivity is very important for hospitals because work productivity is closely related to the results to be achieved. Based on the results of the initial survey conducted at the Delia Hospital, the nurses are still not able to provide the best health services to patients due to the lack of optimal work the productivity of nurses.
The research was quantitative with the Ex-post-facto approach. The population of this study were all nurses who worked at Delia General Hospital, amounting to 90 people who worked for more than 1 year. The sample taken was 70 people, obtained using Slovin technique. Data obtained by interviews and observations using questionnaires, analyzed by Multiple Regression Test at α = 0.05.
The results of the statistical correlation test show that there is a significant relationship of the discipline variable (p = 0.000), training (p = 0.029) on nurse work productivity. The regression statistical test results showed (t-count 5.863> t-table 1.66), so that there was an influence between discipline and work productivity of nurses, while training showed an influence on nurse work productivity with results (tcount 3.778> t table 1.66).
The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant effect of discipline and job training on nurse work productivity. It is recommended to the management of Langkat District General Hospital to provide punishment for nurses who have not been optimal in working and improving discipline, and nurses' work training to improve nurse productivity towards a better direction.
