Abstract

Iron is a supplement that is needed by pregnant women to prevent anemia during pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to analyze "the associate factors to adherence of pregnant women in consuming Fe tablets at Midwifery Poly in Mitra Medika Gerenal Hospital Medan. The type of this research used analytical survey with cross sectional approach. Populations in this study were 123 people and Samples was taken by accidental sampling as many as 62 people. Data collection methods are primary data and secondary data. The Data was analyzed by using multiple linear regression tests.
The results showed that there was a relationship of knowledge to adherence of pregnant women in Midwifery Poly with a p value of 0.022, there was a relationship between husband support for adherence of pregnant women in midwifery polywith a p value of 0.023, there was a relationship of Fe counseling to adherence of pregnant women in midwifery poly with p value 0.046 , there was a correlation between the availability of Fe and the adherence of pregnant women in midwifery poly with a p value of 0.003, there was a relationship of trust toward adherence of pregnant women in midwifery poly with a p value of 0.043, there was a relationship of attitudes towards adherence of pregnant women in midwifery poly with a p value of 0.024. The most related variable to the adherence of pregnant women in midwifery poly was the Fe Tablet variable with a significance value of 0.022.
Based on the results above, it is suggested that the management of the General Hospital, especially the hospital leadership, the head of the installation/ section to be aware of the importance of monitoring and counseling optimally in patients who lack of iron.
