RELATIONSHIP OF MOTHER'S KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND PERCEPTION ABOUT THE ROLE OF THE KADER BINA FAMILY
WITH MOTHER PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM OF BALITA FAMILY IN ENVIRONMENTV AND VI KELURAHAN

The Toddler Family Development Program is an educational activity involving parents and children, parents as the main target because they will care for and care for their children. Based on the initial survey conducted on 10 mothers, it was shown that 4 mothers attended BKB, while 6 mothers did not participate in the BKB program. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge, attitudes and perceptions of mothers about the role of toddler family development cadres with maternal participation in the Under-fives Family Development Program in V and VI Neighborhood of Simardan Island, Tanjungbalai, 2018.
The research design used was Cross Sectional. The population in this study were 60 mothers with a total sample of all populations. Methods of data collection are primary data and secondary data. Analysis of the data used was univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test.
The results showed that most respondents had less knowledge as many as 37 respondents (61.7%), negative attitudes as many as 33 respondents (55.0%), negative perceptions as many as 32 respondents (53.3%) and most did not participate in BKB as many as 34 respondents (6.7%). The results of the chi-square test showed that there was a relationship of knowledge (p = 0,000), attitudes (p = 0,012) and perceptions (p = 0,001) with maternal participation in the Toddler Family Development Program in V and VI Environment of Simardan Island, Tanjungbalai City in 2018.
It is recommended for research sites to be a reference for cadres in the V and VI Environment of Simardan Island Village to better understand the importance of finding a cadre of toddler family development programs to create a harmonious and prosperous family.
