Abstract
Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) shows 18% of toddlers in developing countries experience underweight. Based on interviews conducted by researchers from 10 mothers who have toddlers there were 6 mothers who were not actively bringing their children to Posyandu because mothers were busy working outside home, Less support from the family (husband / grandmother). The purpose of the study to determine the related factors of passive mother to children in Posyandu activities in Desa Padang Kleng , Teunom District, Aceh Jaya District in 2018.
The research design used a cross-sectional approach to analytic design. Population of 100 mothers of toddlers. Sample Total Population. Using primary and secondary and tertiary data. Univariate and bivariate analysis.
The results of the research of good knowledge mothers were 40 people (40.0%) active Posyandu activities as many as 26 people (26.0%). The chi-square test results p = 0.001 <0.005. High educated mothers 43 people (43.0%) active 25 people (25.0%). The results of the chi-square test p = 0.220> 0.005. IRT working mothers 66 people (66.0%) active 34 people (34.0%). The chi-square test results p = 0.511> 0.005. Based on the results of the study, mothers with good knowledge but were not active in Posyandu activities (14.0%).
The conclusions of this study indicated that education and employment do not have a relationship with maternal inactivity among toddlers in posyandu activities in Padang Kleng Village, Teunom District, Aceh Jaya Regency in 2018. It is expected that Health Workers will always provide information through information about Posyandu benefits so mothers can be more active in Posyandu activities.
