The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still relatively low, this is due to the lack of knowledge of mothers working exclusively by giving breastfeeding and the lack of the role of health workers in providing information specifically about exclusive breastfeeding exclusive breast milk.
This research used quantitative research with analytical survey research design and cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 35 maternity respondents and the sampling in this study used total sampling. Data analysis was performed using statistical Pearson Chi-square test.
Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that from 35 respondents, there are known that amounted to 17 respondents (49%) not exclusive breastfeeding as many as 15 respondents (43%) and those given exclusive breastfeeding as much as 2 respondents (6%) with sufficient knowledge , with a chi-square statistical test with a value, α = 0.05 and obtained ρ = 0.000.
The conclusion of the research, There is a relationship between knowledge of working mothers and the role of health workers with exclusive breastfeeding. It is expected that health workers at the Puskesmas alue bilie can maximize the provision of counseling on exclusive breastfeeding to nursing mothers, so that exclusive breastfeeding increases.
