Abstract
Childbirth is a stressful and emotional moment for mothers and families, labor is a painful and frightening moment for mothers, because it must be ensured that every mother gets love care during labor and birth in the form of emotional support from her husband and other family members to be beside her during labor and birth and an active role in supporting the mother for comfort during labor and birth, appreciating the mother's desire to bring friends or relatives to accompany her. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husband's support and the smooth delivery of mothers at the Midwife Clinic in Sitinjak, Tebing Tinggi in 2018.
This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 33 people and the number of respondents in this study used a total sampling technique of 33 people. Data was analyzed using Chi-square analysis test.
The results showed that the results of statistical tests using Chi-square analysis, obtained the calculation results of p value = 0,000 <α = 0.005, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted.
The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between husband's support and the smooth delivery of third trimester mothers in the Dongsina Sitinjak Midwife Clinic in Tebing Tinggi City in 2018. Suggestions for this study for local health workers to counsel about assistants at delivery
