Abstract
The birth of a child is a gift given by Allah SWT, but the high birth rate and also can cause problems for maternal reproductive health, if giving birth too often. Based on data from World Health Statistics (WHO) in 2016, contraceptive use has increased in many parts of the world, especially in Asia and Latin America, but continues to be low in sub-Saharan Africa. Globally, the use of modern contraception has increased slightly, from 54% in 1990 to 57.4% in 2015. The purpose of this study To determine the effect of motivation on non-participation Couples of childbearing age In IUD family planning in the village of Geleumpang Payong Sungai Raya.
The method of this research is an analytic survey with Cross Sectional approach. The research location is in Geleumpang Payong Sungai Raya Village. The population in this study were 55 people and a sample of 55 people. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test.
The results showed that the results of statistical tests using chi-square test, obtained the calculation results p value = 0,000 <α = 0.005, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted.
There is an Influence of Motivation Effect on Non-Participation Couples of childbearing age in KB IUD in the village of Geleumpang Payong Sungai Raya Medan City in 2018. Advice for local health workers for counseling about contraceptives, especially IUDs in a comprehensive and sustainable family planning acceptor in the village of Geleumpang Payong Sungai Raya.
