This percentage has increased compared to 2011 which amounted to 83.3%. Although the government has carried out an anemia prevention program for pregnant women by giving 90 Fe tablets to pregnant women during pregnancy with the aim of reducing the number of anemic pregnant women, the incidence of anemia is still high. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of adherence of pregnant women to consuming Fe tablets with anemia. at the RB Hanum Medan Clinic in 2018. Method: This research uses analytical survey design method using Cross Sectional approach. Samples taken by using a total population of 32 respondents. Data collection is taken from primary and secondary data. Data analysis used bivariate univariate analysis using chi-square test. Results: The results showed that out of 32 respondents surveyed, most of the respondents who experienced anemia, did not obey consuming Fe tablets as many as 21 respondents (65.6%) and respondents who did not experience anemia, obeyed Fe tablets as many as 11 respondents (34.4%) with the sig value can be 0.002 (0.05) which means the hypothesis is accepted. Conclusion: The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between maternal compliance with consuming Fe tablets with anemia. It is recommended for health workers, especially the RB Hanum Clinic to be used as input or information for compliance in consuming Fe tablets so as not to cause anemia in pregnant women.
