Abstract
Family Planning (KB) is one of the most basic preventive health services for women. Improvement and expansion of family planning services is one of the efforts to reduce maternal morbidity and high mortality due to pregnancy experienced by women. Each acceptor uses contraception that is currently used, with consideration of various things. Factors that influence the choice of contraception are in the form of internal factors in the form of knowledge, education, age, occupation, parity and attitude. This study contains descriptions of the description of the research flow that describes the thinking patterns of researchers in conducting research.
The research design used was an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach to frequency of IUD user variables.
The results of the statistical test using a chi-square between Mother's Knowledge and Husband's Support About the Use of IUD Contraceptives at the Ridho Clinic in Medan in 2018, obtained P = 0.000 (sig α <0.1). This means showing that there is a Mother's Knowledge Relationship and Husband's Support on the Use of IUD Contraceptives at the Ridho Clinic in Medan in 2018.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the majority of respondents with less maternal knowledge were 18 respondents (51.4%) due to lack of knowledge of the benefits, advantages of IUD contraceptives, they did not use IUD contraceptives because they did not know that IUD contraception was comfortable and the level of effectiveness did not know that IUD contraceptives are comfortable and have high effectiveness, respondents feel doubt about IUD contraception because there is no public ignorance about the IUD, such as when to make a repeat visit
