Abstract
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a deadly disease that is classified as acute which is a major problem for public health. The number of dengue cases in Tebing Tinggi in 2017 was 133 people and Kelurahan Bulian Urban had the most cases of 11 people. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors related to the ocurrence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) at Kelurahan Bulian, Tebing Tinggi in 2018.
The method of this research is quantitative analytical survey with Cross Sectional approach. This research was conducted at Kelurahan Bulian with a population of 395 families and with the Slovin formula obtained a sample of 199 families. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The data were analyzed by using Univariate, bivariate Chi-Square and multivariate logistic regression test analysis.
The results of bivariate analysis of knowledge variables, attitudes, actions and larvae existence with each p-value value 0,000, 0,004, 0,000, 0,000 <0,05. Multivariate analysis showed that the most dominant variable related with the occurrence of DHF was the 0,000 <0.25 larvae with EXP (B) 268,772.
The conclusion of this study shows that there is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, actions, presence of larvae with dengue and the presence of larvae which are very dominantly related to the occurrence of dengue at Kelurahan Bulian, Tebing Tinggi in 2018. It is suggested to the community of Kelurahan Bulian to take precautionary measures, to eradicate mosquito nests optimally and it is expected that the next researcher conducts research on the occurrence of DHF with different methods so that research continues.
