Abstract

Water is one of the natural resources that have a very important function
for the lives of humans and other living things. The purpose of this study was to
determine the zinc (Zn) and sulfate (SO4) content in well water digging at Dusun
Pante Abe, Darul Imarah Sub-district of Aceh Besar District.
The study used a descriptive method. The location of the study was near
hot springs residential areas. The samples taken were 10 wells from all the wells
at Dusun Pante Abe. The samples were obtained using quantitative laboratory
tests using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and spectrophotometry.
Laboratory test results are then presented in the form of data and tables.
The results of this study indicated that well water digging contained zinc
(Zn) met the requirements of Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation
No.32 of 2017 is 10 (ten) samples, namely sample 1 (0.207 Mg / l), sample 2
(0.235 Mg / l), sample 3 ( 0.241Mg / l), sample 4 (0.244 Mg / l), sample 5 (0.241
Mg / l), sample 6 (0.237 Mg / l), sample 7 (0.224 Mg / l), sample 8 (0.243 Mg / l) ,
sample 9 (0.250 Mg / l), sample 10 (0.246 Mg / l). Whereas on sulfate (SO4) the
entire sample of well water dig up to the requirements in accordance with RI
Minister of Health No.32 of 2017.
Basaed on this research that from all samples of well water dig containing
zinc and sulfate still meet the requirements of the Republic of Indonesia Minister
of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017. The researcher suggests paying attention to
the provision of clean water for the community that is used for daily needs in
order to improve the health status of the local society.
