Abstract
Environmental health problems that often occur in traditional markets are the problem of waste and sanitation infrastructure. The scattered garbage and the condition of the kiosks that do not meet the requirements make the buying and selling process uncomfortable for both traders and buyers.
This study aimed to analyze the waste management system and sanitation infrastructure of Pasar Paya Ilang Bebesen Subdistrict Central Aceh District 2018. This type of research is descriptive research. The study population was 245 traders, of which 71 were sampled. The population of janitors was 10 respondents and all were sampled. Data are analyzed univariate which was presented in the frequency distribution table.
Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the garbage collection of Pasar Paya Ilang Bebesen Subdistrict Central Aceh District 2018 was in the category of eligibility (32.4%), and not fulfilling the requirements (67.6%). Transportation of waste at Pasar Paya Ilang Bebesen Subdistrict Central Aceh District 2018 is in the category of eligible (16.7%) and did not meet the requirements (83.3%). Disposal of garbage at Pasar Paya Ilang Bebesen Subdistrict Central Aceh District 2018 in the category of eligible (50.0%) does not meet the requirements (50.0%) Infrastructure for sanitation infrastructure at Pasar Paya Ilang Bebesen Subdistrict Central Aceh District did not eligible to the requirements Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 519 / Menkes / SK / VI / 2008 Concerning the Guidelines for the Implementation of Health Market.
It is recommended to the Office of Cooperatives, Industry and Trade (Koperindag) of Central Aceh District as the manager of Pasar Paya Ilang Bebesen Subdistrict Central Aceh District to pay attention to the Pasar Paya Ilang sanitation infrastructure so that traders and consumers feel comfortable transacting at Pasar Paya Ilang.
