Abstract

Relationship Of Personal Hygiene Knowledge With The Perineum Wound Healing On Postpartum Maternals At Sahara Maternity Clinic Padangsidimpuan 2018
Background; Postpartum is known to be immune and maternal health is lower than usual which is very risky for breeding germs that enter the birth canal.Objectives; This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge about personal hygiene and healing of perineal wounds healing in post partum maternal in Sahara Maternity Clinic Padangsidimpuan in 2018. Method; This type of research used an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The location of the study was conducted at the Sahara Maternity Clinic in Padangsidimpuan, South Padangsidimpuan Subdistrict. The population was all postpartum maternal of 32 respondents, and all of them were used as research samples. The data used primary and secondary data and analyzed by using Chi-Square. Results; showed that there was a relationship between knowledge about personal hygiene and post partum maternal perineal wound healing seen from the results of the chi-square test showed that the p value was 0.003 <0.005. Conclusion; Based on the results of the study, there was a relationship between knowledge about personal hygiene and healing of the perineum in post partum mothers in the Sahara Maternity Clinic of Padangsidimpuan in 2018.
