Abstract

Tetanus Toxoid Immunization (TT) is an attenuated and purified tetanus germ toxin that is given to infants, children and mothers as an effort to provide protection against tetanus. The purpose of this Tetanus Toxoid immunization is to protect the mother and baby from tetanus because antibodies are produced and passed on to infants through the placenta and reduce the risk of tetanus in neonates. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between husband's support and information sources with the completeness of TTI immunization for pregnant women in the work area of Batoh Health Center in Banda Aceh City.

The type of research was an analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The population of this study were 110 people and a sample of 52 people. Teh sample of this study were done by using accidental sampling technique. The measuring instrument was a questionnaire by using univariate and bivariate data analysis with chi square test.

Based on the bivariate results, this study showed that there was a relationship between husband support and completeness of tetanus toxoid immunization in pregnant women (p = 0.008), and there was a relationship between sources of information and completeness of tetanus toxoid immunization in pregnant women (p = 0.004).

The conclusion of this study is that the relationship between husband's support and information sources with the completeness of tetanus toxoid immunization. It is recommended for pregnant women to want to do tetanus toxoid immunization.
