Abstract
Hypertension is often referred to as the "silent disease" or hidden disease. This title began with many people who were not aware of having hypertension before they did a blood pressure check. Hypertension can affect anyone, from various age groups and socioeconomic status. To find out the most sales of hypertension drugs at the 88-year-old Global pharmacy in January-June 2017
The research was carried out was by using descriptive method, namely data collection to answer research questions or hypotheses relating to the current situation and incidence of hypertension which is often prescribed at the Global 88 Pharmacy Medan in Period January-June 2017.
Based on the results of the discussion above, the researcher can provide the following conclusions. Data obtained from hypertensive drug research that is often prescribed are: For the most common types of generic drugs, Amlodipine 5 mg (29.6%) and Captropril 25 mg (18.9%), for the most types of branded drugs, Lasix (29.5%) and Concor 2.5 mg (28.0%) and for prescribing the most generic and branded hypertension drugs, namely Amlodipine 5 mg (22.4%) and Furosemide (18.9%)
According to the data obtained that prescribing the most hypertensive drugs in the global pharmacy 88 cities in the field are generic Amlodipine 5 mg and captropril, for branded drugs namely Lasix and Concor 2.5 mg and for generic and branded types namely Amlodipine 5 mg and Furosemide. It is recommended for the next researcher to compare the sales of Hypertension drugs that are the most among global pharmacies 88 with other pharmacies.
