Abstract

The choice of types of contraception in Indonesia is generally still directed at hormonal contraception such as injections. 10 acceptors of 3-month injectable birth control acceptors said they did not know when to return to take a 3-month injectable birth control. The aim of the study was to determine what factors were related to the compliance of a 3-month injectable birth control acceptors re-visit at Teunom Health Center in 2018.
The research design used was analytical survey with cross sectional approach. The population used was 178 3-month injectable birth control acceptors with accidental sampling technique that was 64 people, with primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used univariate and bivariate tests with chi-square.
The data obtained from the results of statistical tests showed that there was a relationship of knowledge with the compliance of revisit, the results obtained p value 0,000 (<0.05), there was a relationship between education and compliance with return visit p value 0.044 (p <0.05), there was an age relationship with revisit compliance value was 0.001 (<0.05), and there was no ‘work’ relationship with compliance with return visit p value 0.993 (p> 0.05).
The conclusion of the study shows that there is a relationship between knowledge, age, education and compliance of 3-month injectable birth control acceptors. It is suggested to the 3-month injectable birth control acceptors to be more regular in re-injecting so that the failure rate of 3-month injectable birth control users is not large and the purpose of family planning is achieved.
