Abstract

Leucorrhoea a disease in the vaginal area, white fluid comes out and conditions like this make it uncomfortable, which is very important to restore vaginal discharge by maintaining vaginal hygiene. World Health Organization (WHO) 2014 health problems of women in the world who have experienced leucorrhoea 75%, while European women who experience leucorrhoea are 25%. Based on the result of preliminary survey that conducted by the researcher on 6 prostitutes, all of them had experienced leucorrhoea even pathological vaginal leucorrhoea and that’s because of the lack of doing personal hygiene. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship of personal hygiene knowledge with leucorrhoea of Flour Albus on prostitutes at Sibayak Hotel Medan in 2018.
The design of this study used an analytical survey using cross sectional. This research was conducted at Sibayak Hotel Medan. The population in the study of all prostitutes as many as 32 people and the entire study sample was the total population. The data collection was done using a questionnaire then processed using univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square test statistics.
Based on the results of the chi square statistical test with a significance limit of 95% with a sig α value of 0.05, the p-value of 0.009 <0.05, which means there was a significant relationship between the knowledge of prostitutes with leucorrhoea.
In this study there is a relationship between Personal Knowledge with Leucorrhoea (Albus Flour) on prostitutes at Sibayak Hotel Medan in 2018 with p-value 0.009 <0.05. It is suggested for health workers to be able to increase awareness and understanding of personal hygiene to avoid leucorrhoea pathology.
