Abstract
Tuberculosis is a contagious disease transmitted by the bacterium Nicobacterium tuberculosis, the incidence of pulmonary TB in the working area of the Inpatient Puskesmas Sipispis Sipispis District, Serdang Regency in 2017 in 18 cases, September in 9 cases, October in 11 cases, November in 9 cases, December in 16 cases and January 2018 as many as 11 cases. The physical condition of unhealthy community houses such as lack of ventilation, occupancy density of more than 2 people, the floor still has land. This study aims to find out about the physical conditions of the house with pulmonary TB events in the Work Area of the Healthcare Center of Sipipis at Sipispis Subdistrict Serdang Bedagai Regency.
The research method used a surveillance method with a sectional cross-sectional approach. The population of this study was 3,527 families. Samples that would be examined were 97 respondents taken by simple random sampling. Data were done by using univariate and bivariate analysis by conducting chi-square.
The results of this study showed that the density of the dwelling had a relationship with the incidence of TB is .004 < α = .05. Ventilation has .005 <α = .05 and the type of floor has .005 < α = .05).
The conclusion in this study there is a relationship between the physical condition of the house (residential density, ventilasidanjenislantai) with the incidence of pulmonary TB in the work area of Sipispis Inpatient Hospital Sipispis Sub District Serdang Bedagai Regency. It is expected that the staff of the Sipispis Inpatient Hospital Sipispis Sub District Serdang Bedagai Regency to conduct counseling or socialization to the physical condition of houses that fulfill the requirements to prevent the onset of pulmonary TB.
