Abstract
Family planning is one of the strategies to reduce maternal mortality, especially for women with 4T conditions, the female contraceptive method used is far greater than that of male contraceptive methods, indicating that male participation in using contraception is still very small. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influenced the participation of husbands as MOP acceptors in Marjanji Village, Sipispis District, Serdang Bedagai District in 2018.
The research design used was an analytical survey using a cros sectional design, which aims to describe the factors that influence the participation of husbands as MOP acceptors. The population of EFA in hamlet I-III was 355 people and cluts sampling was 78 people, with inclusion and exclusion techniques as many as 56 people. Data analysis using chi-square test and multiple linear regression.
The results of the study show that there are factors that influence the participation of husbands as MOP acceptors. Knowledge factors that have a very large influence on the participation of husbands become MOP acceptors because the closer the value of p 0,000 with a constant p 0,000 the greater the influence on participation in becoming KB MOP acceptors
The conclusion of this study is that there are factors that influence the participation of husbands as MOP acceptors in Marjanji Village, Sipispis Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai District. In 2018, it is suggested to be able to add good information and counseling about MOP FP.
