Abstract

Noni fruit (Morinda Citrifolia L) has many benefits, in addition to moisturizing noni fruit skin can also be used for cosmetics raw materials because the anthraquinone contained in noni fruit has effectiveness against the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Eschericia coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa. The purpose of this study was to find out that noni fruit extract (Morinda Citrifolia) could be formulated in solid soap preparations and to find out the solid soap preparation had an effect on Stahpylococcus Aureus bacteria.
This research was an experimental research that extracts obtained using maceration method then made preparations of solid soap extract of Morinda Citrifolia fruit with a concentration of 1%, 2%, and 3%, then the soap preparations were evaluated by organoleptic test, pH test, irritation test and antibacterial effectiveness test.
Production of soap preparations with noni fruit extract (Morinda Citrifolia) concentrations of 1%, 2%, and 3% fulfilled the criteria, organoleptic test was brown in color, solid in shape, and smelled typical, solid soap pH test which was 9, irritation test which was not irritated , the foam height test was 28 mm, 26 mm, and 26 mm, the antibacterial effectiveness test on solid soap extract of noni fruit with inhibition zone 13.6 mm, 15.2 mm, and 17.5 mm, in the positive control zone inhibition 12.1 and in the negative control 4.5 mm inhibition zone.
Based on these results it can be concluded that the solid soap extract of noni fruit (Morinda Citrifolia) gives the effectiveness of inhibitory power against staphylococcus aureus bakery.
