Abstract
Desa is a depiction of a society that consciously willing and able to prevent and overcome various threats to public health such as malnutrition, diseases that could potentially give rise to Unusual (the OUTBREAK), disasters, accidents and others by making use of local potential by implementing a mutual point is moving to communities for healthy independently. Desa Program it is expected that the year 2015 national program the whole village becomes idle village. However, the current development in Indonesia is still low i.e. 56.1% idle village but not yet active standby village said. The purpose of this research is to dig deeply about the role of the village Midwife as a companion to the development of the village of idle.
Type a descriptive Qualitative research is conducted on the territory of Kecamata district East of Simeulue Simeulue as of September 3, s/d 12 October 2018. Informant research by as much as 7 persons, data collection techniques with In-dept interview and observation.
The results showed the role of the Midwife as motivator has already done very well the role of a midwife as a facilitator have also been performed by a midwife, a midwife's role as a catalyst is not running because there is no activity and the policies to be implemented and there is no support from the head of the village and also the community.
The role of the midwife has been running as a Motivator and facilitator but also as a catalyst is not running. The role of the midwife is not supported with the role of the head of the village. Expected to the village chief to give support, attention/role in the development of the village and the village Midwife to standby to be more active and intense advocate to Regent policy and give insight to the community in the village.
